Absence from work as a UK Skilled Worker

  1. Under no circumstances is one expected to absent from work without explanation.

  2. You are either off-sick or on annual leave or your day off according to your work rota.

  3. Any other absence should be agreed with the management prior to be absent.

  4. Unauthorised absent can lead to gross misconduct and eventually dismissal.

  5. Make sure any absence from work is explainable and is recorded correctly in your personal file.

  6. Please note, being late to work is considered unauthorised absence.

  7. Absence from work and not authorised by employer may lead to disciplinary action.

  8. Make sure all leave is authorised before your absence.

  9. If you wish to travel abroad, do not buy your tickets etc without having your leave authorised first.
