Interpreters Role
At Tulia we are seeking volunteer interpreters who can support us by interpreting informal meetings and help us with communicating information to our clients.
Job Description
Our clients are migrants who are currently seeking a way to regularise their immigration status. Therefore, a candidate who can build a good rapport with them would be ideal. We would require any information provided by our clients to be translated into English and any information from us to be translated into the client’s spoken language.
The relevant candidate must maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature and sensitivity of their matters. We would require support with understanding information. We are seeking volunteer interpreters who can speak the following languages. Please note, the roles are not limited to these specific languages.:
Tigrinya
Punjabi/Hindi
Pashtu
Yoruba/Igbo
Farsi
Urdu
Qualifications in interpretation are advantageous but not necessary. However, you must be fluent in the language we are seeking interpretation for.
Hours: Flexible
Location: Remote or at our Head Office in Coventry (if remote, interpretation will take place by way of a telephone or video call).
