Our Legal Advisors specialise in complex cases with exhausted appeals rights, particularly those at risk of homelessness and detention, and offer essential support to clients who lack representation. Our mission is to ensure the rights and well-being of migrants while navigating the intricate immigration system and to provide compassionate and holistic support to individuals and families seeking to establish themselves in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of clients' immigration needs.

Provide expert advice on various immigration matters, including visa applications, settlement, asylum, and appeals.
Prepare and submit immigration applications, ensuring compliance with OISC regulations and guidelines.
Liaise with relevant authorities, courts, and agencies on behalf of clients.
Represent clients at hearings, tribunals, and appeals when necessary.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
Collaborate with the Tulia team to deliver holistic support services, including social, cultural, and educational assistance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Tulia's services through feedback and innovative ideas.
Experience/knowledge:
Experience in providing high quality advice and representation to clients
A good understanding of law and policy as it relates to immigration and asylum
Experience in professional, independent and impartial service delivery to the public
Experience in maintaining a caseload of cases in line with OISC requirements in relation to the conduct of cases, file management and supervision
Knowledge of and empathy with the backgrounds and experiences of asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants
Experience in using client databases
Experience in working with interpreters supporting clients with complex matters
Qualifications and Experience:
OISC Level 2 or 3 accreditation, or qualified solicitor with immigration law experience.
Proven track record of successful immigration casework and client representation.
Strong understanding of UK immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Empathetic and culturally sensitive approach to working with diverse clients.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in relevant software and case management systems
Ability to manage a caseload autonomously, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Ability to keep client’s file records in compliance with OISC standards
Aptitude for grasping complex issues rapidly
Ability to demonstrate good client-facing skills
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
Communicates effectively at all levels, both verbally and written
Supportive team player
Desirable
Lived experience of the impact of immigration policy and practice.
Fluency in other languages
Salary: £30k to £32k (Negotiable)
Location: Coventry and remote working
