Our Legal Advisors specialise in complex cases with exhausted appeals rights, particularly those at risk of homelessness and detention, and offer essential support to clients who lack representation. Our mission is to ensure the rights and well-being of migrants while navigating the intricate immigration system and to provide compassionate and holistic support to individuals and families seeking to establish themselves in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising Clients:You’ll provide legal advice to clients on immigration matters, including visa applications, entry clearance, residency, nationality, and asylum claims.

  • Business Immigration: Handling business-related immigration cases, such as Tier 1 entrepreneur visas, sponsor license applications, and intra-company transfers.

  • Compliance Assistance: Assisting corporate clients with immigration compliance, including right-to-work checks and sponsor duties.

  • Representation: Representing clients in immigration appeals and judicial reviews before the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and Upper Tribunal.

  • EU Law Guidance: Providing legal guidance on European Union law, including applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.

  • Legal Research: Conducting legal research and staying updated with changes in immigration rules and regulations.

  • Document Drafting: Drafting legal documents, including visa applications, appeals, witness statements, and legal submissions.

  • Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, immigration authorities, and external stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues and immigration consultants to deliver comprehensive and effective immigration services.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor: You must hold a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.

  • Experience: Proven experience in immigration law, with a focus on business immigration and asylum cases.

  • Knowledge: Sound understanding of UK immigration rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paying attention to detail.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently.

  • Client-Centric Approach: Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving positive outcomes for clients.

  • Multilingual Skills: Multilingual abilities and experience working with multicultural clients are advantageous.
