Here are some tips on how to get a job/switch as a skilled worker in the UK:

  1. Update your resume and cover letter. Make sure your resume is tailored to the specific job you are applying for and highlights your skills and experience that are relevant to the role. Be sure to also proofread your resume and cover letter carefully before submitting them.

  2. Start networking. Attend industry events, connect with people on LinkedIn, and reach out to your network of friends and family to see if they know of any job openings.

  3. Use job boards. There are a number of job boards that list job openings in the UK. Some popular job boards include Indeed, Monster, and Reed

  4. Prepare for interviews. Once you start getting interviews, be sure to prepare thoroughly. Research the company and the role, and practice answering common interview questions.

  6. Get Peer & Spiritual Support

    Pick any sponsor from the list and visit their website. Browse their website for contact details and or vacancies. Apply for vacancies through their website, alternatively contact them directly using the provided contact details. To avoid being swindled, apply directly. Browse through as many websites as you can and good luck!

8. Search for the latest health and care jobs by clicking the button below

If you are switching jobs, you will also need to:

  • Give notice to your current employer. The notice period will vary depending on your contract, so be sure to check your terms of employment before giving notice.

  • Update your visa. If you are switching to a new job, you will need to update your visa to reflect your new employment. You can do this by applying for a Certificate of Sponsorship from your new employer.
