Legal Education Programme

At Tulia we have noticed the lack of legal advisers in the community, so we took this into consideration to start the Legal Education Programme.

The Legal Education Programme is a programme that offers volunteering opportunities to 10 black, Asian, and minority ethnic law students at Coventry and Warwickshire University. The students will volunteer for 3 months, commencing in September.

During these three months, basic legal advice will be taught in the areas of housing law, immigration law, community care, family law and consumer law, which can be applied to help the client group that we work with.

After the three months the students will be given the chance to complete their level 1 OISC training which enables them to give out legal advice.
