Standing Together CLM Church Workplace Forum

This past Sunday, March 9th, Tulia had the privilege of attending the Standing Together Workplace Forum hosted by CLM Christian Life Ministries Church in Coventry , a crucial event dedicated to addressing racial discrimination in the workplace. The forum provided a safe and open space for individuals to engage in meaningful discussions, raise awareness, validate experiences, and explore faith-led approaches to tackling workplace discrimination.

We are deeply committed to advocating for workplace equity and justice. Our participation in this forum aligned perfectly with our mission to champion dignity, rights, and empowerment for all workers, particularly those facing systemic barriers. We believe that open dialogue and collective action are essential in creating meaningful change, and the Standing Together Workplace Forum offered an invaluable opportunity to contribute to this ongoing conversation.

The forum brought together diverse voices—including individuals with lived experiences, workplace advocates, faith leaders, and legal professionals—who shared their insights on navigating and challenging racial discrimination. Through engaging discussions, we explored strategies to promote inclusion, build alliances, and foster a culture of respect and fairness in professional environments.

Our key takeaways included:

  • The importance of validating and amplifying the experiences of those affected by workplace discrimination.

  • The role of faith-led approaches in fostering resilience and hope for individuals facing workplace injustices.

  • The need for practical solutions and actionable steps to address discrimination at both organizational and systemic levels.

We want to extend our gratitude to the organizers for creating this much-needed space for dialogue and change. For those who couldn’t attend, we encourage ongoing conversations about workplace discrimination and actively supporting initiatives that promote equity and justice. Together, we can drive meaningful transformation.

Stay connected with us as we continue our advocacy work, and let’s keep standing together for a more just and inclusive future.
